INFORMATION on Summer EBT for SMDS Students

Hello Everyone at Second Mesa!

 

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for all your work helping make sure this program was ready to go. We’ve received all the needed files from you and have successfully uploaded them into our system and are stuffing envelopes with the benefit cards in them right now. These packages will be sent out starting Monday so your families should receive them by the end of next week. The first months benefits will be available May 15th and can be redeemed immediately. I wanted to remind you of a few things in case you receive any questions.

 

  • Participation in this program DOES NOT impact any other assistance programs. This is a demonstration project and is not countable by any other assistance program
  • Information regarding the cards and what families can or cannot buy will be included in the SEBTC booklet families will receive with their cards.
  • Benefits can be redeemed at all stores that accept ITCA WIC. Stores can be located on the ITCA SEBTC web page.

 

I would also like to remind you as schools, that we do not share any information with anyone other than USDA. The Arizona Department of Education may still need information from you, so please don’t assume they already have the information because you provided it to us. They have asked us to provide them with our contacts, if you are ok with me connecting you with them please let me know.
